Make your own 3D animal cookies
A simple recipe for baking and decorating fun 3D cookies.

- 180 grams unsalted butter
- 150 grams sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 300 grams flour
- Pinch of salt
- 20 grams plain chocolate
Instructions
- 1Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
- 2Add the flour and salt and mix until a firm dough forms.
- 3Shape the dough into a flat slab, wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- 4Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 4–5 mm. Cut out the cookies and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- 5Bake the large cookies for 10–12 minutes at 180 °C (top and bottom heat). Small cookies need 8–10 minutes.
- 6Melt the chocolate in a piping bag placed in hot water and cut off a small tip.
- 7Decorate the animals as desired and let the chocolate harden before assembling.
Storage
Will keep for at least 2 weeks in a sealed container.
